Coach Porcupine is a soccer coach and troop leader. She normally coaches Franklin and his friends, and her absence in the Back to School with Franklin film is unexplained. She is voiced by Mari Trainor.

During the winter, Coach Porcupine taps the maple trees of Woodland and makes maple syrup in her sugar shack.

Coach Porcupine serves as the camp counselor in the day camp in "Franklin Goes to Day Camp." She puts Franklin in time-out after he gets upset with Possum and throws a pine cone. Later, however, she consoles Franklin, who explains his upset that Possum is becoming best friends with Bear and his feeling that he never should have invited Possum to play with them in the first place. Realizing the source of Franklin's concern, she tells him that he did a kind thing and that Bear will always be his best friend. She allows him to make a friendship bracelet and Franklin is delighted to learn that the friendship bracelet that Bear had been making is for him and not Possum.

Personality[]

A strict and honest but kind and friendly coach, Coach Porcupine is always willing to check if Franklin and his friends are following the rules, and helps them to play fair and work together. She doesn't tolerate anyone breaking the rules.
